DTCC is a great club, have seen lots of people come and go over the years, and lots of changes and different methods of trying to acheive the ultimate goal of 1st in the A Final.
I raced many years ago as a young lad at Barnetby with my old GM TC4 (does anybody remember that car it was mint?) but quit to concentrate on golf and being a full time teenager… I was going to get back into racing a few years back, but being at university, I just did not have the time. Well…I am really enjoying racing at Doncaster Touring Car Club and when I'm not studying for my MA in Cultural Studies or playing Golf, I am thinking about how I can improve my driving, car, and ultimately my lap times. Racing RC cars is fun! Keep up the good work Doncaster Touring Car club. Last meeting I went lipo (I could not believe the improvement in power and usability.. lets hope it does not blow up in my face hehe) ….next time I hope to have a new motor as I think my rotor has become bent slightly…
I recommend anybody who is interested in racing to come down and give it a go!!
I used to have RC cars as a kid, Tamiya Rough Rider, Marui Ninja & a PB Mini Mustang (which I bought from Ian Biddleston 20 plus years ago & is still in the loft at my parents house).
I enjoy racing at Donny & try to get over to Stocksbridge on Sunday mornings.
Started racing when I was 12 with an old hobao hyper 10 but had to give it up as the club shut down in April 2010. Decided I wanted to start again so bought a Losi XXXS and came to Doncaster and loved it but soon realised the Losi was not very competitive so bought my Xray. It's a good car and enjoy racing at Doncaster, everyone is very helpful and friendly.
